My name is Cindy Sparling, I am the proud mother of 4 children and the proud grandmother to 4 wonderful grandchildren. When my youngest child was reaching her teenage years, I was in a minor car accident where I had gotten rear-ended at a stoplight. Luckily, no one was severely injured, in fact no hospital stay was required for any of the involved parties.
About a week after the accident I had developed a tension headache that just wouldn’t seem to go way. After days of being sore, irritable from the intense pain I was feeling, and exhausted from the lack of sleep I was getting; I decided it was time to see my doctor and figure out what was happening.
At the doctor
He confirmed my fears, I had whiplash from the car accident, and he determined that I had injury to my neck and soft tissue damage in my upper spine. This was the start to a long road of symptoms I would soon experience, as I was officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 6 months later.
I have a family history of fibromyalgia, though before my mom it was rarely diagnosed. When I was young, my grandmother often complained of stiff muscles, headaches, and feeling weak. She rarely wanted to leave the house even to come to our holiday gatherings or school events. As I got a little older, my mother started mentioning the same pains. She became less and less active, and it became difficult for her to keep up with her children.
I never fully understood what the women in my family were going through, but after the car accident my similar symptoms lead me to believe I had developed the same condition. I voiced my worries to my doctor, who confirmed fibromyalgia was likely the root cause of my pain.
I could no longer be the mom I wanted to be
The biggest effect fibromyalgia had on me was the fact that I could no longer be the mom I wanted to be. My kids had grown used to me always being there for them, and when my pain started becoming overwhelming, I was missing more and more of their events. I remember the depression I felt when my youngest daughter expressed to me her disappointment that I couldn’t attend her music recital, and the look on my son’s face when he found out I had missed his first touchdown at the homecoming football game.
I tried countless treatment options and pain medications but nothing seemed to help. It hurt to even get out of bed in the morning, especially after a night of restless sleep. I had to find something that could help relieve my pain.
I had been suffering with the pain associated with fibromyalgia for over 5 years. When my oldest granddaughter was born, I was heartbroken to think that I wouldn’t be a more active grandmother for her to play with. After trying what seemed to be every method out there to relieve my pain, I realized the only option I hadn’t tried was making my own treatment!
My husband had started a company called NTG, and had put together a team of researchers and scientists to formulate natural treatment options. He was determined in helping people find relief from several different ailments. He enlisted the help of many of his team members and put them on the project of Fibrolief.
After looking into countless studies and discovering a multitude of helpful ingredients, we set to work to find a perfect formula for fibromyalgia sufferers. I had been the test subject for many different formulas, and we knew we were onto something special. After years of pain, I was finally able to take my life back, and my children and grandchildren have never been happier!
